Farmingdale, New York, February 20, 2001…Memory Protection Devices, Inc. has released their new 2001 battery holder catalog. Featuring 80 new products including, battery holders & contacts, lead acid clips, alligator clips for batteries and  enclosed cases for AA and AAA  cells.

The battery catalog expansion includes eight new CR2032 coin cell holders two of which are SMD and packaged on tape & reel, part numbers BZ2032SM and BU2032SM. A new low cost - high volume CR2032 holder, part number BS-7 is offered at $0.12 each in lots of 50,000 pieces and is available from stock. Featuring UL94V-0 rated plastic, nickel plated phosphor bronze contacts with selective tin-lead plated PCB tails.

Other new holders include AA & AAA cases with sliding covers that close securely with a single screw and are offered with optional on-off switches. Reverse polarity protection is built-in, eliminating the need for external protection devices and standard six-inch wire leads make for time saving connections. Available from stock for 2, 3 or 4 batteries, case colors include Green, Red, Blue and “Glow in the Dark” as well as custom colors. Pricing starts at just $0.28 each for 1000 pieces of the twin cell holder and are available from stock.

A replacement for standard 6-volt lantern batteries is offered using four standard “D” size batteries. The holder replaces batteries meeting ANSI’s no. 908, or industry part numbers MN908, PC908, 941, 944, 509, 1209 and many others. Pricing is $1.50 each in lots of 5000 pieces and are available from stock.

Two new “1/2AA” battery holders feature “easy in & out covers” that remove & install the battery with one hand, an industry first. Designed for tight placed like between PCI cards that have poor access from the sides these holders offer one handed battery replace ability from the top. Part number BA1/2AAPC accepts both 3 volt or 6 volt “1/2AA” sized lithium batteries and is made of  high impact plastic rated UL94V-0 and including the cover has a price just $0.40 each in lots of 5000 pieces and are available from stock.
